Jolly Harbour Marina Antigua - your full service marina in the Caribbean

April 18th - 23rd, 2013 - 26th Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta

The largest and longest running Classic Regatta in the Caribbean and takes place every April, just before Antigua Sailing Week. It is hosted by the Antigua Yacht Club. The Classic Yacht Regatta will take place from the 18th - 23rd April 2013.

The day before the official start of the Yacht Regatta is the The Boat International Concours d’Elegance, an opportunity for owners and crew to show off the care and attention they give to their yacht, with prizes for both privately and professionally maintained yachts. Judging takes place in one day, where the beauty and spectacle of over 50 classic yachts anchored at the Antigua Yacht Club Marina is a truly magnificent sight.

There follows three days of racing from and back to Falmouth Harbour which is easily viewed from land from the many vista points along the coast line. The huge tall ships navigating the course take you right back in history.

The whole regatta has the feel of a bygone era, with the inclusion of The English Harbour Sail Past, where you can catch sailors bedecked in period costume after the last day of racing.

There is also the home of a giant fund raising tea party which completes the feeling that you have been transported back to an English Garden.

The Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta is a truly fantastic spectacle not to be missed in Antigua. The camaraderie of all involved is infectious. To find out more visit: www.antiguaclassics.com
