Channel marker pile 1 (looking from South) Pos. 17° 04' 46.4" N 61° 54' 37.0" W
Coming from the South keep well clear of Cadesreef and Freyers rock to waypoint………. Where you head East to the channel marker at the entrance of the 11 feet deep channel* at regular low tide. Boats with draft over 11ft should call the marina for the latest depth information (Dredging to 16 feet is planned).
Channel marker pile 1 (looking from West)Pos. 17° 04' 46.4" N 61° 54' 37.0" W
The best approach for deep draft boats is coming from the West. Starting at waypoint………… heading at about 105 degrees magnetic or 120 degrees due. To the first channel marker. The dredged channel is marked by channel poles and buoys (IAlA B right-red-returning) The outer first red beacon is lit red flash every 2 seconds.
Channel marker pile 2 (looking from West)Both channel pole turning markers are also lit by flashing lights, red and green flash every 4 seconds. Beware, on both sides of the channel there are boats at anchor most of the time, several do not put up a proper anchor light.
Channel marker pile 3 (looking from North-West)After the turning point in the channel you head ……. Straight to the entrance of the harbour. For deep draft boats keep the right side of the channel if traffic allows. In the harbour you are guided by unlit small channel markers to the customs dock, call for "Jolly Harbour Port Authority" on VHF: 16, or go direct to the marina, call for the Dock Master on VHF: 68 or Phone: 268 4626042/1.
